Bentley Systems held their “2013 Year in Infrastructure Conference” in London, England.  This annual event brings together leading executives and thought leaders in the world of innovation, construction and infrastructure.

The key event for this conference is the award ceremony for the coveted “Be Inspired Awards” which took place on October 30th, 2013.  Projects from around the world are nominated as finalists to compete in their category and are judged by an independent panel of jurors. Bentley indicated that “The Be Inspired Awards program recognizes the world’s most outstanding infrastructure projects. The projects are submitted by Bentley’s software users and judged by a jury of independent experts, who adhere to the highest standards in determining which of the projects exemplify innovation, superior vision, and an unwavering commitment to exceptional quality and productivity”.

Intelliwave Technologies and JV Driver Projects presented as finalists on their use of Bentley ConstructSim software and Intelliwave Technologies SiteSense® Software to create an innovative solution that would allow them to leverage technology for maximum efficiency by integration these two state-of-the-art technologies. ConstructSim allows the construction planners on the project to view complete systems down to the component level and to create and revise IWPs directly from the model with unprecedented ease and efficiency, not to mention accuracy thanks to the integration of the real-time material availability and location data from SiteSense®.

Intelliwave Technologies President Dale Beard and JV Driver’s Corporate Project Controls Manager Mike Miketon gave the final presentation amidst Bentley’s international audience, sharing a truly inspirational approach to creativity and success thus winning the “Be Inspired 2013” award. They shared a bird’s eye view of how the actual project unfurled and its path to success not only in the client’s eyes, but in the eyes of the Global Construction and their peers”.
