Our flagship product, SiteSense®, offers innovative solutions combining sensor hardware, software and services for tracking materials and managing material on large industrial construction projects. Intelliwave does business around the world in Canada, Australia, Asia and the USA. Our flagship product, SiteSense®, is a web-based system for asset tracking and material management.

Job Description:

As a Software Developer Intern, you will work as a member of our software development team to develop new functionality and maintain current customer install base. The Software Developer Intern you will assist in design, development and testing of software for our business applications.
A wide degree of creativity, leadership, and being an ultimate team player is expected.

Responsibilities:

  • Have a thorough working knowledge of Intelliwave’s Software Applications and hardware solutions.
  • Follow software development processes using Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence).
  • Perform requirements gathering, architectural design, development and testing.
  • Use testing tools to ensure software quality.
  • Identify areas of improvement in the company and assist in creating and implementing solutions.

Candidates must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, open work environment.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer related field.
  • Passionate about software development, current in industry trends and best practices.
  • Experience with web development (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Angular).
  • Experience developing with data sources (SQL and/or NoSQL).
  • Experience with continuous integration.
  • Experience with Web and JavaScript testing tools.
  • Experience developing automated unit tests and coded UI tests.
  • Understanding of wireless technologies (ie. GPS, Bluetooth, RFID).
  • Experience developing cloud based services (ie. Storage, Cache, DB, Web Apps).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel.
  • Team player as well as a self-starter who needs little supervision and processes.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Experience in the industrial construction sector is a plus.

Compensation:

  • Hourly wage $21.00 / hr
  • Full Time Summer Position
